Are new electric knife sharpeners as good as professionally sharpened?

I aim sharpeners like Chef's Choice or something. I have very priceless knives that i really like and i don't need to mess them up. IS there an electric sharpener that won't do anything bad and sharpen them the way good-hearted knives are supposed to be sharpened? if so, please roll the type. (I have german and asian style knifes so distinctive angles would be very nice. including an chance for single bevel)

I've always been an electric knife sharpener guy. Yes it might eat up the blades but it's been 25 years so far and my Henckels still look melodious good.
Now I see the Diamond Finger system that Rachael Ray recommends. I also assume from a lot of reviews. What do ya'll think? How do you sharpen your knives? And if you lean a steele, good on you: my arms get spent!
go to napa auto parts the have this new sharpener i might be the find i am not sure. it ia about 3 inches long with a carbide tip...it is the upper crust sharpener i have ever used..you just run it down the cutting edge a few times and wow like a razor..i still use the stiffen to hone. it cost 11$ OH! you lay it on the work one's way and it will follow the angle.
