My Ice Cream Wont Work?

ok so i brought one of those frozen roll Cuisinart ice cream makers and made up some ice cream and turned it on. 20 minutes nothing, 40 minutes nothing. It a moment ago wont freeze up. Its like soupy milky mush.
is there any tricks to these machines that arnt in the vade-mecum? did i do something wrong?
i really hope i didnt honest waste $50 on junk...

You got ripped.... take it back and interchange it. My brother has one exactly like that and his makes 'halcyon serve' ice cream in about 25 minutes.
