I have a 5 year old GE Gas range. Burners will lite but not oven?

Have already checked spring valve to oven, it is open. Controls click but gas is not flowing.

Most gas ranges have stimulating igniters and do not have a thermocouple but if you have pilot liven up yes the thermocouple is the most likely problem.

If it has an moving igniter the problem is most likely the igniter. When you walk into a stop on the oven the igniter should glow red. If not you can jibe it with an ohmmeter and if it is open replace it. If it does incandescence red the igniter is still the most likely problem but you will have to have an amp meter to check up on it. Is it normal that my Kenmore gas range is making my kitchen soooo hot?

We recently remodeled our Nautical galley which included buying a new Kenmore 5 burner range. Our kitchenette is pretty small. I have had a gas range before, but this one seems to be sooo hot! It is very uncomfortable fair-minded to cook on it b/c the area around it gets so hot. Is this well-adjusted? What can I do to help minimize the heat? We already have a hole over the oven (one built into a microwave).

My guestimate is that your vent over the microwave does not outlet to the outside. If this is correct then it just blows amorous air back into the kitchen. I would try to use electric cooking items such as crock pots and fryers until winter. Then you will valuable your gas range. Good luck.
