For the dead and buried 14 years, Untrained Pick Kitchens has been providing supporter to community kitchens located in the Metro Vancouver acreage. Two years ago, we (Inexperienced Pick Kitchens), improved our website so that we could allow for resources for community kitchens across British Columbia as well as furnish a directory of cooking and nutritional skilfulness structure programs across the division.
Although we’ve only offered our Community Pantry Control Workshops in Vancouver, we have had people from across BC appear at our workshops. We’ve never had the funds/talent to run the workshops elsewhere in the dependancy. Thanks to a new contribution from the Campbell Company of Canada we were skilled to moved to a solicit to run our workshop in Victoria last week.

Cullen, Community Nutritionist from Vancouver Isle Condition Say-so helped us control registration as well as solid a restricted hotelman position for the workshop. Within a month, eighteen people had registered for the Feb. 3 workshop. John Taylor, The Ladies'/Community Coordinator from Farifield Gonzales Community Linkage kindly made the arrangements for us to use their 900 sq foot Nautical galley called “Corrine’s Scullery”.
Corrine’s Pantry is at bottom utilized for rental purposes and has recently begun preparing the Nautical galley for community Nautical galley use. In preparation for the workshop, Alternative Preference Kitchens gathered up all the items we needed for the impractical and cooking apportionment for our workshop. We had boxes of handouts, aprons, cookbooks
and our cookhouse appurtenances. We also included furnishings from our bestowal allowance so we could lose some Nautical galley furnishings at Corrine’s Cookhouse to better them fill their cupboards! Darlene (Untried Option Kitchens Coordinator), got the groceries for our Victoria menu, which was Tofu Meatballs, Greek Salad, Tzatziki, Quinoa Pilaf and Apple Break up. On Feb 2
