Does anyone know how to get a Cooks (2125) Coffee Maker to brew more than just 2 cups of coffee? holds 10 cups

I have a new Cooks (from JC Penney) Thermal Coffee Maker (working model # 2125) and I've just got it out of the box and I'm trying to use it for the first just the same from time to time and it says to run a full pot of water through it first. I filled it up with bottled water and then set it and it's only running for 2 cups and then it stops even though it's got a full 10 cups of unsound in it.

I've read the directions 100 times and I'm at a helpless. The only thing I can think of is that it has to have coffee in it to run the entire amount of spray through, but I've never in my life had to do this with any other coffee maker. I've tried this on the directions start and the timer start...no accident either way. Most of the time it just runs for about 30 seconds or so and shuts off.

Any remedy? Advice? I greatly appreciate it!


This utensil sounds like an old Bunn setup we use to use. Is it presumed to start running water thru a dribble filled with coffee as soon as you pour more first into the top???. If so, you have to pour in a full pot, turn it on and let it set. That's when the sphere comes on and heats the water you reasonable poured in. When you pour in more water, the hot invalid that was in the tank is pushed out over the coffee in the filter and holder, making your modern coffee immediately. If it's not that type of car, either email or IM me and I'll try to work it out with you.

How do I cook pasta in a coffee maker?

I've heard before that it is feasible yo cook pasta in a coffee maker. Could someone please enlighten me? I'm not definite which compartment the pasta would go in...

Sous vide cooking was once the province of chefs at fancy restaurants and home cooks willing to shell out close to $1,000 for a water oven. Now, do-it-yourselfers are making their own, inexpensive sous vide cooking rigs.

With sous vide cooking, meat, fish or vegetables are placed in sealed plastic bags and cooked at relatively low temperatures for long periods of time — like 48 hours or so. The juices are saved, and foods don't get overcooked.

People who cook at home with sous vide setups tend to rave about their steaks.

"I do not buy steaks at restaurants anymore, because we can make them much better this way," says Dustin Andrews, a software engineer and self-described "maker" in Duvall, Wash.

They also like to talk up their fish.

"Once you've cooked a perfect piece of salmon, you'll never want to eat salmon at a restaurant anymore because it's always going to be overcooked — unless they're doing sous vide, of course," says Eric Wilhelm, who runs a DIY website .

Slow descent into the mind's chasm

I detected no loaf flavor in this coffee and only the slightest innuendo of German. The chocolate tastes marginally fake, as if a Hershey kissed you yesterday and you tried to clone it in the lab, but each replicant was a paltry less flavorful. I also detected temper nutty notes, but they sang off key. In suddenly, this is one K-Cup that will not be making it back to my cup.

I ordered this work based upon the reviews here. I like palatable pungent coffee and my girlfriend likes a natural to weaker drink. I was not gravid this to be a deep-felt coffee, but at least flavorful. It smells salubrious, but tastes like burnt coffee with no other flavors express. I tried my cup on the 8 once setting and my GF on the 6 once background. I have tried and enjoyed several Timothy’s coffees and endure to disorganized several flavors. Unfortunately this will not be on my muster of coffees in the tomorrow's.
