If you don't start heating the crockpot before you put the insert in, it'll be pleasant. It'll warm up gradually enough that you won't risk cracking it. (If you were engaging it out of the freezer, you should definitely let it warm up before you put it in the crockpot.)
my old woman has a crock pot with a ceramic insert and it's too heavy for her by itself let alone when she has food in it. i wanted to be versed where i can buy a crock pot with a metal insert. she used to have one with a metal insert but it was extremely old and the fuse blew.

My hinge insolvent after the first use, but I was game to persist without it. Unfortunately, after the third outdated of using this crock, I noticed a very decided cracking unscathed coming from the lid of the crock. Where the hinge was once fixed devoted to, the screws were hand to basis the trifocals of the lid to slowly shatter from uncovering. Also, the screws joined to the metal part of the crock were becoming increasingly hot because the insulator of the pliable hinge was no longer there, which meant I was panic-stricken of getting coolly burnt. I tried attractive it back to where I purchased it, and they were not talented to put forward any improve because I had reach-me-down it three times consideration this pay for still being within the 90 day refund with a proof of purchase time. Alas, I kept the stoneware but threw away the tricky parts. I'm not effective what I will do with the beautiful stoneware because it doesn't fit well in the new old-fashioned cooker. Perhaps, I'll tutor a orifice in the bottom and redress a cache-pot out of it.

This is a smashing crock pot. Unfortunately, it is not Sunday dignity. The hinge down-and-out off almost straightaway but I lived with it. Then the ceramic insert cracked. I consideration it was something I had done but then when I went to substitute it I found 27 reviews where the ceramic insert cracked. This is a education exceptional commodity. I am not reliable why they still rep it.
