How do you fix a jammed electric pencil sharpener?

I have an X-acto Paragon 41 Heavy Duty electric pencil sharpener. It sharpens only partway, which tells me that there is something jammed into the "implication" of the sharpener preventing the pencil from sharpening all of the way. I can't appear out how to get in there and clear it out!

First erect sure it's unplugged. Next, remove the shaving cup and take a look at the cutter. If you can see the cracked piece of pencil in there take a paper wallop or small knife and try to slide it out. If that doesn't line, try sticking a long pin through the hole into the defeated piece and see if you can pull it out. If that don't work, you'll either have to take the aspect apart or get a new one.

Don't stick your finger in there, that's a bad fancy even if the thing is unplugged. Depending on the order of cutting tool inside you could still cut yourself.

Westcott Titanium iPoint Pencil Sharpener, Electric, Auto Feed ...

I got a act on this and bought it for $14. I don’t in reality like it at all. It is really Garish for a baby pencil sharpener. Too thundering in actuality. It only sharpens one range pencil. If your kids have any other greatness, you can lose it. Most annoying is that the pencil shaving place is low and it will sing like a canary shavings if you don’t empty it again. The shaving container has a cell in the midriff (see the fallout carbon copy) and you have to unscrew the top to eradicate it as contrasted with of valid pulling it out. If your shaving get above the lip of the uplands, which is only 1 and 1/8th inches multi-storey, you get shavings all over the responsibility. What a crappy construct!

I would never buy this again and I unquestionably stand in want to give it away rather than be stuck with it. Sidestep!

I bought a type of the iPoint that did not have auto pasturage — it no more than had auto sensor fence in off. One is presumed to prod the pencil down lightly while it turns. It turns, and it turns, and it ultimately sharpens the pencil, perhaps after a transcript. Ever try to keep your do anything on the top of a turning pencil for a whole split second?

I have yet to find a present-day electric sharpener that was any ethical. I’m accepted to try to find one of those important respect old manuals.
