My Mommy in law uses these for coldslaw & they got liquid & sustenance in the lid part, which is a moldy mess. Is there any way to actually absolutely confess them? She will not throw them out & continues to use them.

I have a maker new FoodSaver with the canisters and sealing lids. Can I use the canister lid sealers on mason jars or do I have to buy different sealers for the wide mouth and correct mouth mason jars? It came without the box and/or instructions.
