I have a Cuisinart stimulating grinder (the only way to go is electric). I've had mine for over 10 years and no trouble. I also have another that I use just for grinding spices...

With 200 watts of power, I would judge that you could, but its not mentioned in the instruction booklet. It also said that some spices would exclude the prep bowl, I assume that's nutmeg?
