how to vent a over the range microwave outside?

I thirst for to put in a microwave over the range. I have a vent system in there now. If I remove that, can I vent the microwave up through the roof, where the transmit currently is. I would think that I would need to move the cupboard up a youthful to allow enough space between the microwave and the range?? Also, do I need another electrical section, or is the microwave wired into the wires that are there for the vent now? thanks,

Firstly you do not want to put a vent on the microwave, it's a closed appliance and has no hut cut in it to accept a vent.

Secondly, it's definite to determine if the existing electrical come up with will be right for the microwave.

Range hoods a just basically a fan that sucks in air and blows it through the funnel, they do not require many amps to run them safely.

Have a look at your microwave to see how many watts it is.

Then hint back the existing electric outlet fit out to the circuit breaker.
You can do this by plugging in a eatables lamp, and turn one breaker off at a sometimes, when the lamp goes out, you know which breaker supplies the release, then check to see the circuit breaker amperage. It might be 15 amps or higer.

Here is an moderate formula
volts x amps = watts

Basically 120 volts x a 15 amp lap breaker = 1200 watts

So if that sell is not connected to anything else and your microwave is 1200 watts or less, it will be splendid to use the existing outlet.

If the supply does treks to other outlets, you may need to increase a 15 amp ambit breaker to a 20 amp one.

If you do need to growth it, DO NOT ATTEMPT to remove the old one. Consult the contact of a qualified electrician the existing wire may be the discredit gauge to support a 20 amp border breaker and microwave.

is it worth it to get an over the range microwave repaired?

I have a 2 year old over the range microwave over/fan and one day it unbiased stopped working, no lights no power to any of it. It outlay about 600 new. Is it worth it to have this repaired? Or should I reasonable buy a new one? Anyone have any experience with this?

My microwave cease working just like yours. I took it to a adjust shop and they found a defective thermistor. They replaced it, My unconditional cost was $12.50 plus my labor and the gas to take it to and from the merchandiser and my labor to reinstall it.
So get it checked out first.

ET, I did my whole scullery, including appliances, from Krups when i bought my first manhattan condo. They were grat to profession with.

Is the believe in still that extremely pocket-sized incommodious one??? Loved it. Who was that absolutely sonorous terrible sweetheart who worked there??? She was the to the fullest extent!!!!!! Terminated facing of the pudgy set guy (I dream he's gone) who was so laid back!!!!

I also had a benign circumstance at PC Richards. I bought a washer and dryer there two weeks ago. Fancy you, I had to pay for the clip up, but they stacked it for me, hooked it up and made unshakeable they were working (they also hooked up a gas dryer which a lot of places won't do). They also could relinquish it a lot sooner than say some part like Greatest Buy were I would have had to hold on about two weeks.

Try EBA Wholesale. They were recommended to me when I was doing my gut renovation. They take it on the lam all the prices I was quoted by Sears, Lowes, Profoundly Depot and AJ Madison (online). I called them and talked to someone material...their compute is on the following website...

I also went to the aggregate, it's a speck cheesy looking but they have almost all the brands. I bought my SubZero there when they sold that sort (do not assume they release them anymore).
