Bills enter the pressure cooker today against Redskins

TORONTO -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will see eight men on the line of scrimmage a lot today when he looks across at the Washington Redskins' defense.
Get ready for another pressure day for Fitzpatrick and the Bills' pass-protectors when they face the Redskins at the Rogers Centre.
"Again, it's a team with a lot of sacks," Fitzpatrick said. "I feel like I say that every week."
Yes, Ryan, you are saying it every week, because this makes three straight games the Bills have faced one of the top three sacking teams in the league. The Redskins, with 21 sacks, are No. 1 in the NFL in sacks per pass play. The Giants, the Bills' last foe, are No. 3. Philadelphia, who the Bills beat on Oct. 9, is No. 2.
Washington brings the most blitzes of any of those teams, and the blitz figures to be a key factor on both sides of the ball as the Bills (4-2) try to bounce back from the Giants defeat and win for the first time in their adopted Canadian home.

Tender minds crushed by parental pressure

The number of suicides and attempted suicides by children is on the rise, say sources. With 940 suicides by students in 2008, Bengal has earned the dubious distinction of being the suicide capital of the country. Maharashtra comes next with 757 cases.
Take the example of 16-year-old Sushmita Roy, (names of all the students and their parents have been changed) a student of a renowned school in south Kolkata. She was always a topper till the Class IX results when she failed to secure the first position. It angered her mother so much that she publicly insulted Sushmita. The girl has been barred from attending music classes and all social gatherings. Sushmita goes out only to school or to attend tuitions. She is a mental and emotional wreck, say her classmates. "The whole class knows that Sushmita is being punished by her parents. Her mother insists that staying at home and studying will fetch her good marks next year," a classmate said.
Like Sushmita, 15-year-old Anamika stays cooped up in her room all day long. She is depressed and often refuses to eat. She was recently hospitalized with severe stomach pain and high fever - side effects of years of neglect by her parents. Anamika was an unwanted conception and her parents made it clear that they had no time for her. The girl is left all day long with a maid. However, her father demands a report card that she is unable to produce and often beats her up. It was only after her depression turned severe that her parents were compelled to take her to a psychiatrist.
