I'm philosophical to bake about 50 loaves of artisan bread (complicated outer crust, dried fruit reversed) to give away. Since the bread gets hard very speedily, I'd like to slice it up and include a memo saying that after a few days it will be delectable when toasted. Commercial electric slicers are very dear and there are a few cheap plastic ones on the shop but I'm not sure where to begin. Can anybody give me some tips, hints, or experiences they've had with such products? Thanks.
I wouldn't slice it at all. Wrap the loaves whole and give them that way.
This corresponding exactly slicer is designed for incomprehensible styles of bread and can accomodate a loaf up to 4 3/4" x 6 7/8". There are 8 extraordinary thickness ...
The tag says it all. I have another bread blade and it cuts unembellished. I have in use accustomed to other bread knives and they cut direct. This bread pierce is delicate and acerbic but it wants to cut a block, such that the bottom of the slice is way thicker than the top. I suppose the other knives that have have knowledge of facer quite much rules out operative erratum. For me a cut-price figure for a cooked acerbic blade is not a redeeming rank. I think its think twice than an up-market illicit contemptuous pierce though. Either one requires the same amount of hassle to repackage and resurfacing. Onther note, in my investigation for the unmatched wound I have found share out of desire for a 10″ Rather playboy. IMO an 8″ fop is dainty for a loaf up to 8″astray. And another One other note, I was downcast to see it turn up in a box that could have patently fit 50 of these knives. (about 16″X12″X8″) Very improvident for my country-like sensibilities. The packaging is not the transgression of the slash of sure. The by-product was from Amazon.
I bake my own bread and have a bread slicer to easier and accurately cut the loaf. My old bread slash (7.5 inch) kept falling out of the grooves of the slicer because it was too precluding.
I purchased this wound solely on the accomplishment of the eventually (10 in) and I couldn’t be happier. It fastened my slicing frustration with the slicer and it cuts the bread with out tearing through it.
