About Saving tiny Hearts Society
Since 2006, the Saving tiny Hearts Society (StHS) has been working to fulfill its mission of raising seed money for grossly under-funded, lifesaving grass roots research of congenital heart defects (CHDs). This seed funding acts as a bridge for this research to millions of dollars of extramural funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) or other outside funding. To date the StHS has raised over a half-million dollars and funded five (5) research projects. The StHS has no paid employees and our organization and board of directors functions with only volunteers who share the passion for helping to extend the lives of these children born with congenital heart defects. Wines 'N More takes its place along Main Street
31.12.69
Dorene Cain loves a challenge.
A recent challenge — her business Wines ‘N More, which opened at 151 S. Main Street last month — is one that she said will keep her attention.
“I’m always looking for a new challenge and by the time I accomplish it, I’m done, I move on,” Cain said. “You can’t do that with wine. There’s always so much more to learn.”
The shop is also drawing the attention of many Mortonites because of its unmatched combination of goods and services.
“We’re far from being just a wine shop,” Cain said. “We’re kind of offering everything.”
By just walking into the establishment, patrons will see that Wines ‘N More is not a mere liquor store.
Guests who enter the shop find themselves in a fully functioning kitchen, where Cain offers cooking classes at $20 per person. Past the kitchen, visitors find an array of wines, ranging in price from $9 to $30; wine accessories; gourmet foods; chocolates; and kitchen accessories.
