Slidell Food and Fun Fest to be presented Oct. 14-16 at St. Margaret Mary
"It's really the only carnival that Slidell has with food, entertainment and rides -- all in one location, " said Kevin Thomas, publicity director for event, which was established in 1967. "Weather permitting, we're expecting another high turnout. The community really embraces the experiences, and it's a fun family atmosphere."
Those wishing to purchase carnival ride tickets in advance can do so through the church website, www.saintmmchurch.org, or at the school or church office at 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell.
Mega arm bands are $60 in advance and cover all rides throughout the weekend. During the festival, the cost of the mega arm bands increases to $75.
Food and children's game tickets also are on sale in advance at a discounted rate of $20 for $22 worth of tickets.
Food and game tickets and mega bands will be on sale until noon on Thursday.
Credit cards may be used at the church office, but not for purchases at the school.
