What is the best manual dicer for vegetables?

I looked at the reviews for several dicers on Amazon.com; The Nicer Dicer, The Vidalia Chop Wizard, Coal-black and Decker Chopper, Bonzai Prog Dicer, and few others. Prices vary.

I want a chopper that won't turn or break when chopping onions or potatoes. I don't resolved paying a little extra for one that will last. I have a commons processor but it's bulky and uses vibrations. I just want something simple to use and honest to store. Any ideas?

Nothing but use a good chef knife.

Is it possible to dice pumpkin by hand?

Or are you hypothetical to use a vegetable dicer? I'm following a recipe that calls for 3 cups of diced pumpkin.

You can do it either way. Pumpkin is knotty the hand dice (because it is so firm) but if you have a poisonous enough knife, it shouldn't be too difficult.
You only need to make sure they are of judicious size - if the recipe doesn't blab about you how big or small they should be, just use your better decision - ie: don't cut bigger than bitesize chunks if you're using it in a soup etc
