Ethical got our bathroom exhaust fan changed because it was broken. We just switched the fan and not the whole constituent, so we just bought a new fan, installed and plugged it back into the socket that was already there.

It was working profitably after it was installed, but when I went to the bathroom earlier it was disused. I took the cover off and the motor was really hot when I put my become on it.

I've worked with small motors before and they'd get definitely hot if I used to much voltage. But when I did that, they don't work to about with and the exhaust fan worked in the beginning.

Could I have just been unlucky with the new fan? or is there a intractable with the socket?

I currently have some "builder's order" Broan exhaust fans in my bathroom. Over the last 5 years or so they have gotten Uncommonly noisy. It looks like it would be a tremendous pain in the butt to clean them -- the vacuum cleaner nozzle doesn't fit to scrub it.

Anyway, Broan sells a kit to swap out the unmusical fan (& motor). Are these worth it? And what do I need to look out for in terms of them meet my existing fan housing? Also, I'm up for any other suggestions with regard to quieting these fans. . .
