How many blocks is 1 mile in california?

I'm planning to run around the same bung up over and over for about 1 or 2 miles but I need to know how many blocks is 1 mile in southern california.
how would i use mapquest?

You'd indeed difficulty to find your particular block and calculate it.

To break a record, I want to put it so nobody else can touch it. Obviously, I'm in competition right now with this girl (Tomlinson), but I think I can do it."
