How good are Bradford White oil fired hot water tanks?

I currently have a Bock oil fired hot water heater, but it is 30 years old and on borrowed period. I want to stay with an oil fired unit, but I was wondering how honourableness the Bradford White oil fired heaters are. I read they have a six promise on the tank and two years on the burner, which is improved then Bocks'. Also, what is the average price for a Bradford 32 gallon epitome. Bock runs about $1,200-1,300 for a 32 gallon assay.

Cant recite you on prices but am familiar with Bradford Waxen water heaters. they are excellant, have a good warranty and will last for years.
Is 32 Gallon sized honourableness for your family. BW also makes 40 gallon sizes

Can you replace the tank only on an oil fired hot water heater and re-use the burner?

I have a 10 yr old oil-fired hot water heater that has started to tear from the top. I have been told I need to replace the whole fixation, but it seems to me you should be able to re-use the burner since it is still good and change only the tank itself. Are the tanks sold one by one? would this save me money? Would savings from the newer "more effective" burner cover the reserve cost of replacing the whole thing?

Yes it can be done, not true about where to buy tank separate though. I've worked with them and have interchanged parts without unpleasantness.

Newbies - Half way through the year, what'ca think? - Hand Fired ...

I'll start off - this is my 4th year and things remarkably came together. I routinely get 12 or 15 hour burns, less fly ash is escaping in to my living arrange and most importantly I'm warm up, my blood is cordial and we are only paying half the yearly expenditure of what our ordinary expenditure of typical gas was, unquestionably less. The neighbor told me her gas bill for last month alone was $300. That was before we got dumped with the snow and the temps dropped. How can people offer that? My only business is that I caught DK (my store) checking out the way I have the stove operating. Unquestionably, it was creepy. He was lawful staring at the baro which was "breathing." A few of you may bear in mind I have a recant condition from a lot of you in that the coal stove was my belief, not DK's. He has been strictly hands off. I had to potter him screaming to the impression. Now it's my relaxation. I take for granted it's a gear detail he is at least paying concentration; a other team of eyes is always a produce attitude but he better not get too active. I have a floret bed dedicated to coal.
